Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to have a sumptuous dinner at Outback Steakhouse at their Millenia Walk restaurant! (Outback Steakhouse Singapore also have another outlet located over at Orchard Gateway)
This was my first time eating at Outback Steakhouse and I couldn’t wait to try the food on their brand new menu!
My first impression was just how huge the steak knives were! And the food portions? Even bigger!
When we sat down, the wait staff brought over a loaf of bread and butter, all made by Outback Steakhouse Singapore themselves! Pretty impressive and cool.
They took our drink orders, and I got the Long Island Iced Tea. My fellow foodie mentioned that they couldn’t taste the alcohol, which I agreed. The beverage tasted more like lemonade than the classic drink, but I ain’t complaining – at least I didn’t have to embarrass myself by turning a shade of lobster red. The drink is nevertheless, quite delicious 🙂
For starters, we had a big variety of appetisers to choose from Outback Steakhouse Singapore’s new look menu – Shrimp and Avocado Ceviche, Crispy Chicken Bites, Crispy Fried Mushrooms, and BBQ Pulled Pork Fries!
For mains, the new menu offers: The Porterhouse, Steak and Shrimp Skewers, Black Peppercorn Crusted Ribeye, Garlic Glazed Pork Loin, and Steak Pomodoro Pasta!
And for dessert, we shared the Chocolate Thunder From Down Under 🙂 The name is so cute!
BBQ Pulled Pork Fries, $14.90 (Full), $10.90 (Half)
This is definitely my favourite appetiser on Outback Steakhouse Singapore’s new menu, and it tastes even better than it looks!
The chunky fries paired with melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork, smoky BBQ sauce, melted cheesy goodness, pico de gallo (fresh salsa), and ranch dressing is truly heavenly!
*Make sure to order the full portion, you won’t regret it! 🙂

Shrimp and Avocado Ceviche, $14.90
Can’t get enough of avocado? Then you gotta order this side. To translate the fanciful sounding name, this appetiser is essentially shrimp, avocado, onions, tomatoes, cilantro marinated in a lime juice, with a generous helping of jalapeño peppers, corn tortilla chips, and a refreshing lime wedge!
Next, we tried these crispy chicken bites (and couldn’t resist with having someone pose as a hand model with the chicken bites)! These scrumptious chicken morsels are hand-battered and served with a classic New Orleans sauce. The sauce is tangy and spicy, just like the classic.
This dish got the seal of approval from the other foodies! They commented that the crispy mushroom appetiser is really good. Mushrooms are very lightly breaded and then fried and dip it with the ranch dressing for a dose of yummy mushroom goodness!
Steak and Shrimp Skewers, $39.90
Now on to the mains – I really liked this dish, as it has something for everyone! Perfect for picky eaters like me, and for the indecisive foodies. If you can’t decide between land and sea, then you should order this dish at Outback Steakhouse Singapore! It has the best of both worlds! I love the tender, well-cooked USDA steak skewers with the flavourful flame-grilled red onions and bell peppers. So, so, so good. It also comes with Outback’s delicious lemon butter, and a bed of yummy rice pilaf! I like how Outback Steakhouse Singapore included healthy carbs and salad with this creation! 🙂 They really take into consideration the diversity in the diets of their customers!
Doesn’t the pork look so good? This pork loin is well-seasoned and comes with lemon garlic, grilled veggies, and whole grain mustard sauce! The pork comes in a very generous cut, so you can really savour all the juiciness of the meat. It’s also great for families because it has carbs, protein and veggies rolled into one dish!
Steak Pomodoro Pasta, $24.90
In two words, this pasta entree is homely and perfect. At first blush, the shape looks like nothing out of the ordinary, right? But it’s actually a lot longer than your typical pasta! Called “cavatappi”, the pasta really absorbs the flavour of the yummy slow-cooked pomodoro pasta sauce. The pasta goes beautifully with the tasty steak, and is complemented with fragrant basil and the salty Parmesan. Yum! Order this if you’re a fan of tomato-based pasta and crave something both delicious and comforting to fill your belly with. (Even our host could tell you just how much I loved this pasta dish!)
Black Peppercorn Crusted Ribeye, $37.90
Steak lovers rejoice! You definitely can’t go wrong with this peppercorn ribeye steak! Everyone agreed this is the best choice of mains on Outback’s new menu. The ribeye steak is encrusted with plenty of peppercorn, and grilled to perfection. Comes with tender asparagus, baked loaded potato, and balsamic sauce. It’s really a steal and worth every penny. So good! Do make sure to order this beefy goodness when you’re at Outback Steakhouse Singapore.

The Porterhouse, $45.90
Not gonna lie, I was eyeing the corn the entire time! 🙂 You can choose two freshly prepared sides to go with your USDA strip and filet tenderloin steak. The portions are super generous and huge (American style) which is perfect for sharing with family and friends! Order this if you’re a big meat eater. Or simply wanna give everything on the menu a try. Go for it and share this Porterhouse steak!
Like I said earlier, I love the generous portions here at Outback Steakhouse. This here is the famous Chocolate Thunder From Down Under – a deliciously nutty, warm pecan brownie (!!!) topped with a rich and creamy vanilla bean ice cream, drizzled with Outback’s very own original chocolate sauce, a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate ganache! Delicious.
After having tried practically everything on Outback’s new menu, I can safely say go visit Outback Steakhouse Singapore with your family and loved ones! You won’t be disappointed 🙂 The new menu has something for everyone, and the food is cooked just right! Portions are generous, service is great, ambiance is really homely and welcoming, and the food is superrrr filling!! Plus the prices are reasonable and won’t create a dent in your wallet. So yes, do go for a meal with family and friends at Outback Steakhouse and try out their brand new menu offerings. Happy feasting! 🙂
